Paul Cochrane is the Group CEO, overseeing growth and delivery across its specialist brands in legal and HR executive search. Originally from New Zealand and now based in Tokyo, Paul has spent the last 19 years in Japan providing executive search consultation to international and domestic organizations. His leadership ensures that every search across the group is grounded in insight, care, and long-term experience in Japan and other geographies.
Prior to his career in executive search services, Paul worked as a lawyer – an experience that continues to shape the way he approaches recruitment. He understands how firms operate, what drives high-performing teams, and how critical the right senior hire can be. Clients turn to Paul for his strategic mindset, honest advice, and ability to connect with talent at the highest levels. He’s known for his clarity, his calm approach under pressure, and his ability to cut through complexity without losing sight of the detail.
